Alfar La Maja
Alfar La Maja is a family business that was founded in 1997 for olive cultivation, the production and sale of extra virgin olive oil. La Maja is considered one of the best olive oil in the world. This extra virgin oil is produced exclusively from the Arbequina variety of olives. The olive is harvested when they begin to ripen, something that usually occurs at the end of October or beginning of November. It is prepared cold within twelve hours of harvesting, which produces very low fat yields, but highly intense aromas. This method results in an oil with a yellowish green colour, dense and with body.
Alfar La Maja entitles the SIQEV, an international quality label, founded by "QvExtra!" to guarantee the oil that carries this seal is an extra virgin oil of the highest quality with its own distinct character.
